Fogafu (Baba) is a proud Southlander with roots in the Samoan villages of Fasito’otai, Siufaga, Falelatai and Palauli. She creates Ula Lipine, vibrant ribbon necklaces inspired by the traditional Ula Lole she made as a child alongside her mum, aunties, and grandma. These adornments are more than decorative, they are handmade symbols of love, celebration, and cultural pride. Every piece Baba creates is infused with the spirit of her ancestors and the joy of giving, continuing a living legacy in a modern form.

Baba’s mahi is deeply rooted in culture, connection, and storytelling. Each Ula Lipine carries intention and meaning, woven with care to honour her heritage and uplift others. Her goal is simple but powerful: to help people feel seen, celebrated, and loved. Whether she’s sharing her craft in schools or creating pieces for special occasions, Baba is on a mission to pass on tradition, empower identity, and remind us that creativity belongs to everyone.
