Ula lipene are beautiful neck adornments woven out of ribbon, inspired by traditional Samoan ula. Ula are commonly gifted during celebrations such as weddings, graduations, and other special occasions. Gifting an ula is a symbol of recognition and appreciation.
Each ula lipene is handmade by local Samoan artist, Fogafu (Baba). Custom colours and styles can be arranged by contacting us via the 'Contact Us' page, but are subject to the artists availability. Colours and styles include number of colours (1, 2, or 3 colours), as well as the addition of ribbon tags or requests for different lengths (such as shorter length for a child).
